About
Mark Meatto
I’m a documentary filmmaker, editor and creative producer. I enjoy solving visual storytelling puzzles of all shapes and sizes.
On independent documentaries, I’ve helped award-winning filmmakers through nearly every aspect of post-production.
My film, "How to Grow a Band" – which I filmed as a crew of one, produced, and edited – was a New York Magazine Critics’ Pick that Variety called “fascinating” and “quite funny...as it tactfully charts the kind of artistic and philosophical differences that can undermine any group endeavor.”
Currently, I am working as an story producer at Words + Pictures, producing and editing a documentary by Ross McElwee and editing a documentary by Purcell Carson.
